I've been an ebay seller since 1999 and have over 4600 positive feedbacks. This didn't stop corporate ebay, of course, from putting holds (up to 21 days) on the payments my buyers sent me to my Paypal fund because a couple of buyers had left me low DSRs (anyone who has sold on ebay knows that means Detailed Seller Ratings). DSRs are a big problem for sellers because buyers really don't understand them (some do and use them maliciously) yet when buyers do leave low ratings (they are called 1's and 2's) it gives ebay an excuse to slap holds on your paypal funds and place selling limitations on you as well. Note that these holds had nothing to do with the items that were shipped and had been received by the people who anonymously- yes that's right- left the low DSR ratings. In other words someone who bought something from you a month ago can leave you low DSR ratings and ebay will slap on a hold on a payment you got from someone for something you sold them today. Yes, you read that right. You can read horror stories on the Discussion Boards at ebay about all of this, and it's happening to thousands of sellers. There is a serious question as to the legality of ebay placing 21-day holds on your Paypal funds, I understand it violates the laws of many states and that one can contact state regulators to get the holds removed. Now all of these bad policies are a phenonemon of CORPORATE ebay and all were enacted in the past few years. I created this blog for ANY SELLER WHO HAS HAD BAD EXPERIENCES WITH ANY OR ALL OF THIS ON EBAY TO POST THEIR ACCOUNT HERE...
